S.Fred Singer, founder of the U.S. Weather Service, writes: "While most people still worry about global warming, I am more concerned about the next Ice Age. A glaciation would present a serious problem for survival of our present civilization, akin to a nuclear winter that many worried about 30 years ago. Nuclear winter is all fantasy, of course; but ice ages are for real." (To access click on Newsroom, then click on Commentary Articles in scroll down list)
92-year old botanist, Sir Richard Attenborough is the latest climate change propagandist to weigh in with hysterical alarmism promising a forthcoming catastrophe-ridden series on BBC. Before falling for this nonsense, look at this piece by Paul Homewood on "Not a Lot of People Know That" reminding us of observed and recorded truths, especially the telling graphs (and scroll through the comments that follow).
Professor Michael Kelly, emeritus Professor of Technology at Cambridge University, was one of 43 Fellows of the Royal Society in UK who in 2016 accused the RS of being dogmatic on the topic of climate change. Dr Kelly wrote about the challenge in the Mail on Sunday, and his article is relevant two years later in New Zealand in view of the complaint by members of the New Zealand Climate Science Coalition against the Royal Society of New Zealand alleging misleading statements in this country about causes of changes in climate.

Dr Judith Curry is a renowned US climate scientist who once espoused "global warming" alarmist theories. Then she did intensive research and became one of the most lucid and learned climate skeptics, feared by the alarmists because they are unabe to answer her challenges for them to prpoduce the evidence for their claims of looming catastrophe.. This latest post on her website is one of the most convincing rebuttal articles you will ever read.
John Eisdon posts at "The American Thinker" how the real aim of U.N. officials in pushing climate hysteria is to end capitalism throughout the world.
In this post, Anthony Watts of the highly regarded blog WattsUpWithThat shows seven charts relating to climate behaviour in the United States during the decade recently concluded, that expose the fallacies propagated by the catastrophycisists who preach "dangerous global warming".
The Global Climate Intelligence Group (CLINTEL) is an EU-based organization promoting climate realism in the face of climate alarmism. CLINTEL authored “There is No Climate Emergency,” prepared by 700 scientists and professionals, When this CLINTEL document was attacked by the Poynter Institute on the basis of its membership, not the content of the document, Poynter was condemned in an open letter by CLINTEL president Dr Guus Berkhout who gave a welcome lesson in how such debates should be conducted.
The Cornwall Alliance posts an article from the Washington Times that tells us: "In short, a great deal of what the mainstream media report, and politicians tout, as the sure results of solid climate science are anything but. The best evidence continues to be that natural causes of climate change—whether warming or cooling, wetting or drying, blowing or calming—far outweigh human contribution through CO2 and other greenhouse gases. So, don’t be tricked into embracing climate-change/global-warming alarmism. There’s science, and then there’s sleight-of-hand masquerading as science."
Dr John Maunder at 'Sunlive' in Tauranga, New Zealand, posts: "The connection between solar activity and the earth's climate is an area of ongoing and sometimes controversial research.Time will tell whether the sun will once again go into another ‘Maunder Minimum' within the lifetime of the present...
Professor Larry Bell posts at 'Newsmax': "As one researcher prudently observed, 'It is inconceivable that policymakers will be willing to make billion-and trillion-dollar decisions for adaptation to the projected regional climate change based on models that do not even describe and simulate the processes that are the building blocks of climate variability.'"
This post contains a pre-release extract for a new book by Danish economist Bjorn Lomborg in which he singles out New Zealand as a country whose current left-wing Government has committed it to a "zero carbon" economy that is unaffordable and will have no measurably material effect on climate behaviour by the end of the current century: "Given the expected temperature increase by around 2100, this means that New Zealand going net-zero by 2050 will postpone the warning that we expected to see on January 1, 2100, by about three weeks to January 23, 2100."
In a long, detailed and convincing letter to Professor Juliet Gerrard, Cnief Science Advisor to the Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Honorary CEO of the Environomics Trust (NZ) Inc, Peter J. Morgan B.E. (Mech.), Dip. Teaching, has strongly rebutted claims that carbon dioxide (CO2) can or does cause unnatural or significant increases in Earth's mean temperature. Mr Morgan also reminds Professor Gerrard that correlation is not evidence of causation.
Professor Will Happer writes at CFact (U.S.): "The good news is that the New York Times has finally permitted its readers to hear that the whole world is greening from more atmospheric CO2. The bad news is that the rest of the article is devoted to demonizing this essential gas, despite the fact that H2O (water) and CO2 are the main building blocks of living things."
Our Coalition has challenged the country’s premier scientific institution, the Royal Society of New Zealand (RSNZ) about the Society’s unsubstantiated alarmist claims of climate alarmism that have created a rift among scientists in New Zealand.
